In trying to teach Hope a child friendly approach to 9/11 beyond her school’s moment of silence, we’ve done some exploring. We visited Baltimore to see a statue of a Twin Tower girder and One World Trade Center and the reflecting pool. We’ve looked at beautiful pictures of the Twin Towers, learning some facts about them and making some math comparisons. While she heard at school that some bad guys took down the old towers, she’s learned that new ones were created to build hope. And now, our final lesson is to complete a Tunnel To Towers run/walk in Lewes, DE on November 15th. This will help her to connect the dots by fundraising to help families impacted by 9/11 as well as other heroes who protect our country. We thank you for your support!
Organization Note:
